Project: CONE (Conserve Our Natural Environment) 2011 Ernest van der Merwe. Project: CONE primarily deals with issues relating to our natural environment and how mankind can conserve and protect it for future generations.
The following issues are of concern:
1. Global warming
2. The loss of bio diversity (habitat and species)
3. Alternative energy sources (solar, wind and ocean power, etc)
4. Overpopulation
I was required to choose one of the issues above and design, illustrate and conceptualize a 20-second animation that will capture the attention of the specific target market that watches the TV channels concerned: MTV (321), Channel O (320), VH1 (323), MTV Base (322) and MK (324) (see DSTV Channels). The animations may be weird, surreal, amusing or series in nature as long as it deals with the issues stated above.
