Hang Ten "Traveling Hoodie"

Upon receiving the Hang ten hoodie brief and understanding the objective, our team (Yoshen Nair, Li Joshua), wanted to create a design that not only depicted our similar styles but also showcased our strengths as designers. This design would not only show our sensitivity to colour and composition but also, visually have a unique feel and personal message.
We have taken the concept of the travelling hoodie and made it a little more personal. Our hoodie design would not be an actual “physical” journey but rather a journey of “self growth” With our concept now decided we were able to devise a way to show
this in our overall design.
The idea of a reversible hoodie was then decided. We felt that different consumers
needed a more versatile design due to their different lifestyles.

The inside of the hoodie is more simple, relying on pattern to create a graphic element.
This would be incorporated by printing a road map on the inside, but instead of this map
having actual destinations, it would have the mild stones that one experiences in life.
We feel that because many consumers in this LSM experience these events, it
would be something that many can relate to, hence giving it a more personal touch.
The outside however would be more heavy graphically and depict actual images and
quotes taken from these very experiences.
